Not Guilty Because Of The Blood by Elaine Davenport (Monday, April 14, 2008)

The devil would like to prosecute us and carry us away; but there’s that fine print in our contracts believers.  Satan doesn’t have free reign.  Oh No!    Let’s talk about it.

Yesterday, A friend shared that they found out how imperfect they were in case they were thinking otherwise.  A friend called them to state they were quite wrought with them over something they had said.  During the conversation; my friend  realized that the other party had totally missed everything they had said previously.    See, my fiend  had neglected to be clear and was rushing and should have “thought out” their words before speaking.  My friend…recognizing the error;  immediately, apologized and humbled herself/himself.

They stated that they felt awful at first, but good later.  They were proud that they were able to ask for forgiveness and they were happy that they knew the terms of their contract with God.  A contract that makes them not guilty in the sight of God. They said they  soon got off of the phone to repent before God.  They were forgiven by God and eventually their friend will forgive them as well.

The devil would like all of us in one way or another to be out of place, out of step, misaligned, offended  and the like.  We need to continually be watchful and pray.  The devil is so sorry when we know about the “fine print” in our contract.  The “fine print” covers our forgiveness, our righteousness, our cleansing, the Blood of Jesus does that and as a result we are …NOT GUILTY!

Please, please look at the scripture below and then look at the Message Bible Translation…it will really Bless you:

1 John 1:9 (King James Version)

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9 (The Message)

If we claim that we’re free of sin, we’re only fooling ourselves. A claim like that is errant nonsense. On the other hand, if we admit our sins—make a clean breast of them—he won’t let us down; he’ll be true to himself. He’ll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing. If we claim that we’ve never sinned, we out-and-out contradict God—make a liar out of him. A claim like that only shows off our ignorance of God.
