“WITH THE LOVE OF GOD, WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD”
“Then Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, ‘Blessed be he of the Lord, who has not forsaken His kindness to the living and dead!’ And Naomi said to her, ‘This man is a relation of ours, one of our close relatives.’ ” (Ruth 2:20)

COMMENT: *** SEED OF KINDNESS – One of the great principles in God’s mighty universe is known as the divine law of sowing and reaping. Simple stated, this says you harvest what you plant. This is true in matters of evil as well as in areas of righteousness. Many Old and New Testament passages bring this out. A classic example of this divine law is seen in the life of Ruth. After the death of her first husband, she had no obligation  whatever to help or continue with Naomi, her mother-in-law. Yet Ruth not only embraced Naomi’s true God as her Lord, but actually assumed the role of Naomi’s own fleshly daughter. Upon meeting Ruth for the first time, Boaz comments on this act of kindness. (Ruth 2:11) Shortly after their meeting, the sowing-and-reaping law produced its results, for Ruth was paid back with multiplied kindness by God Himself. As the story turned out, she was married to godly Boaz, bore him a son, became the great-grandmother of King David, and eventually found a place in the genealogy of Christ. (Matthew 1:5)
