Blood Currency! June, 2013

When I was in kindergarten, they said that one day I would graduate from high school.  It seemed a long ways off.  I had no proof that would happen.  No promise that I would even live that long\, but sure enough one day I did.   The same thing happened with marriage and having children and many of the milestones in my life.  There was a time that I could see none of these things; but they all came to pass.  I had faith for them to happen.  Well I have been told that  I will be given eternal life after I gave my heart to Jesus and made him my Lord and Savior.  I have faith to believe that.

So many people do not understand why followers of Christ embrace the Blood of Jesus which they cannot see.  I see it everywhere I go.  I see it over my bed, around m house around my family, around my car, anywhere I am led to put it.  It is my protection, my defense, it is the currency that was necessary to save me from the pit of hell.

Romans 3:25 states, “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through FAITH IN HIS BLOOD, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.”

The Blood Covenant Separates Us From The Others February, 2012

For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.  LEVITICUS 17: 11

Passover Blood! April, 2011

But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. –Jas 1:25

I was not being Blessed in my deed.  I was working for the Lord; yet my physical condition was not a witness in any way.  I am sure that my “worldly” friends observed me and said:  “My goodness…she’s worse off now than she used to be.”  Of course, that’s how it looked.  I kind of appeared broken down.  On the inside I thought I was in pretty good shape spiriutually; but there was room for more of Jesus and I had to figure it out for myself.

If you are a believer and you get sick; it’s fairly easy to learn how to “live with it.”   Oh, I admit that at first I expected my affliction to go away and when it didn’t…I learned to live with it.

Well, that was until I woke up!My spirit became troubled a few months ago, and I began to wonder why I had all these physical problems and so I went to the bible.  I prayed, I repented, I forgave and then I decided to just seek Jesus.

I mean REALLY go all out!

I go to church, I read the bible…but my time given to God was certainly nothing to brag about.  I imagine that it still isn’t.  I’ll be perfectly content when God caan have all of my days and evenings.

In my search, I found the cross, Jesus and the Blood and the power and the answers were all there!

I began to get closer, to press in, to worship, to understand, to love and to receive.  My life changed as I sat expecting!  Things turned!

Exodus 12:13 “… and when I see the blood, I will pass over
you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you,
when I smite the land of Egypt.”

There is power in the Word of God…embrace it!

Happy Resurrection Day!

When You Really Need The Blood of Jesus! by Elaine Davenport December, 2010

Jesus shed his Blood that we might live eternally…

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood:
and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls:
for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”

Leviticus 17:11

I’ll just be honest with you.  When I grew up nobody talked about the blood of Jesus.  In fact, people used to get mad if you talked about faith. But, this is a new day.   There are many bible students who have delved into the Word of God and have found out more and have shared what they know and proven it to be true.  It’s safe to say that up until twelve years ago, I can directly remember not knowing about the Blood of Jesus!   That was 1998…the year that I had over three car accidentsI haven’t had one since.

After my last accident, I was so traumatized that I stopped driving.   That phobia  ended when my husband said he would not drive me to church.  He’s changed…but I’m glad he declined or I would have remained in bondage.

I plead the Blood of Jesus at night, in the morning or whenever I want to but I do it consistently.  In the bible the blood applied on the doorposts allowed the destroyer to pass over the children of Israel.  Those in Egypt who did not have the Blood covering saw the death of their first born male children.

For believers the Blood of Jesus is our protection, a covering, a shelter, a haven….and when I need that…healing, strengthening…I plead the Blood.

I wrote this because a lot of people have heard of pleading the Blood of Jesus…but really don’t understand it.

The Blood of Jesus always promises victory over Satan.

Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him (Satan) by the blood
of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony …”

The Blood of Jesus allows us to enter into the throne room of Almighty God.

Hebrews 10:19, 22 “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter
into the holiest by the blood of Jesus … Let us draw near with a true
heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an
evil conscience …”

The Blood of Jesus sanctifies us!

Hebrews 13:12 “Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify
the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.”
