COMMENT: A couple of years ago Joe Gold, bodybuilding pioneer, passed away at the age of 82. In 1977 the bodybuilding documentary “Pumping Iron” made Gold’s Gym famous and jump-started Arnold Schwarzenegger’s film career. Mr. Gold is one of the reasons why many Americans have an obsession with a “great body”. Recently I read some additional information about the world’s preoccupation with the “outer man”. More men are going under the plastic surgeon’s knife than ever before. Liposuction surgery, hair transplants and even calf and pectoral implants are becoming more popular with the male species. Because we live in this society, it is so easy to get caught up in this body beautification craze. I grant you the fact that the body of a born again Christian is the temple of God because the Holy Spirit dwells in us; therefore, we should take good care of it. However, like everything else in the world, we should not become mesmerized by it because it is only temporary and will soon fade away. As children of God, our main concern should be the fortification and building up of that inner man with the word of God. That is the only way we can lead a successful and overcoming life. Compared to eternity,  life on earth is extremely brief.
POST SCRIPT: I confess that I go to Gold’s Gym every other day; however, you couldn’t tell it by looking at me.
SCRIPTURE STUDY: Romans 12:1,2 and 1 Cor. 3:16
WISE SONG LYRICS: JESUS DRAW ME CLOSE, CLOSER LORD TO THEE. LET THE WORLD AROUND ME FADE AWAY. JESUS DRAW ME CLOSE, CLOSER LORD TO THEE. FOR I DESIRE TO WORSHIP AND OBEY.

Halloween Is Upon Us by Gene McGuire October, 2013

Helloween
EDITOR’S NOTE:  IF YOU BELIEVE HALLOWEEN IS SUGAR AND SPICE AND EVERYTHING NICE AND A BIG BALL OF FUN; YOU HAVE A LOT TO  LEARN!
HALLOWEEN IS UPON US
Once again people are carving pumpkins, dunking apples and dressing up like witches and goblins. Setting aside my disdain for this unholy holiday, Halloween is upon us. On this special day, participants want to appear to be something they are not, so they change their appearances with masks and costumes. For these revelers this make believe occurs just once a year. However, there is a group of people who wear their disguises 365 days a year. . . .they have their Christian disguises.
All of these pretenders don’t disguise themselves to the same extent. There are some folks who wear a full mask and a costume that covers their entire body. If you were to go home with them after church on a Sunday, or after choir rehearsal, you wouldn’t recognize them at all; in fact, you would think that you had surely come upon the reincarnation of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde — except for the fact that you don’t believe in reincarnation. The warm, loving saintly person at church has been transformed into a cold, wrath-filled, selfish individual. At this point you may be breathing a sigh of relief saying: “Thank goodness Gene’s not talking about me.”  However, at the other end of the spectrum you find the person who only wears a face mask –not unlike the Lone Ranger‘s. This individual is rather consistent in his or her Christian walk but there is some unconfessed sin in his life he’s tenaciously holding onto. In between these two extremes, there are people wearing a variety of pretentious garb.
It is my understanding that God knows we will not live perfectly sinless lives. He made a
provision for us in 1 John 1:9, ‘IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND TO CLEANSE US OF ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS”. However, I do believe that He demands that we be perfectly yielded to Him. When we are perfectly yielded to The Father, we will ask Him to take away anything in our lives which does not glorify Him and we will pray that His will be done in our lives. As you know, God’s goal is to transform us into the image of His Son Jesus, from glory to glory by the Holy Spirit. (2 Cor. 3:18) This is accomplished as we maintain that attitude of yieldedness.
Now Fellow Saints, if you can truthfully say “What you see is what you get!!” I want to thank you for your indulgence and patience in reading his Newsletter. . . .this message wasn’t for you. But as for the rest of us, if we are wearing a face mask, a cover all costume, or anything in between, the Lord would have us to yield to Him TOTALLY. Our deception may fool our fellowman, but it’s ridiculous to think that we can fool Almighty God. His unwillingness to accept half-way measures is exemplified in Rev. 3:16:“BECAUSE YOU ARE LUKEWARM AND NEITHER COLD NOR HOT, I WILL SPEW YOU OUT OF MY MOUTH”.

Get To Steppin! by Gene McGuire May 13, 2012

STEPPING OUT IN FAITH IS WHAT THE LORD WANTS US TO DO!

“. . .and the feet of the priests who bore the Ark [of the Lord] dipped in the edge of the water. . . . that the waters which came down from upstream stood still . . .” (Joshua 3:15, 16)

COMMENT: Everyone is aware of how God dried up the Red Sea so that the Israelites could get away from the Egyptians. We see it every year around Easter when one of the TV networks puts on ” The Ten Commandments“. But if I were a gambling man, I would bet that many of us may not be aware of a similar miracle God performed at another body of water. The Israelites were ready to claim the territory God had promised to them; but there was one problem. . .the Jordan River. And, of course, wandering on dry land in the wilderness for 40 years, they didn’t need nor had any canoes among their possessions. As our Lead Scripture indicates, God instructed the priests to take the Ark of the Lord and walk into the Jordan River which was overflowing at the time. Unlike the miracle at the Red Sea, the priests had to demonstrate their faith while the waters were flowing swiftly. I would suspect that may be the situation that spawned the term “Stepping out in faith”. Oftentimes we come face to face with situations that our senses and our emotions tend to resist what God’s Word tells us or what the Holy Spirit is prompting us. Let’s be like the Israelite priests and step out in faith regardless of what it seems like.

WISE SAYING: CIRCUMSTANCES MERELY PROVIDE US WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO REVEAL THE EXTENT OF OUR FAITH IN THE PROMISES OF GOD.

The Blood Of Jesus Separates Us From Other Faiths July 31, 2011

Editor’s Note:  This article is not being written for diplomacy sake; but it is inspired by conversations this radical Christian has had with Muslims about their faith.  I’m not seeking common ground…I do not hate…but unlike many other Christians who often for popularity sake will compromise their faith…I will not!

Let’s be clear that I firmly believe in the preservation of the Jewish state.  I believe the bible.

It always bothered me…”the very idea” that Allah and Jehovah could be the same.  I wondered why if Jehovah  God sent Jesus…why several hundred years later He(JEHOVAH GOD)  would have to send Mohammed?   Now, if the work at the cross WAS ENOUGH (and it was) …why would my God send someone else?    For what purpose?    THAT WOULD NOT MAKE SENSE!

__________________________________________________________________________________________

Now, all of a sudden the Muslims believe in Jesus…*that’s a recruiting tool)  ; most are slow to say  :  “we believe he’s a prophet.”  (as if that is acceptable…IT IS AN AFFRONT!

_________________________________________________________________________________________

Many of my Christian friends objected to my attending a large Muslim rally.  They I think were afraid that I might be recruited; but Jehovah God had a different plan!

It ignited a fire in me!  I saw how real the problem was; how deep the deception ran!  My closest family member became a born again Christian in that very meeting  (the Muslims didn’t know it.)  A radical more dangerous than the one who walked in…departed that meeting….me!

As the speaker blasted out mistruths and  misrepresentations from the bible:  I shouted:  “That’s not true!   That’s not what it says…my family was surprised they didn’t throw me out.

Nobody cared.

Next time…I promise a PICKET LINE!!!!

I often wonder how anyone can say:  “We all believe in the same God.”   If Allah and Jehovah were the same God; He would have a split personality.  Do you actually think One God would trick two different groups  of believers into disliking each other?   For example, why would the God of the Jews and Christians be the SAME God as the God of the Muslims who hate openly the Jews and “in secret”  disrespect or look down on the Christians?

I know for a fact that Jehovah and Allah are not the same.  It’s about time somebody says so.  It’s been a long running secret kept from the Muslims.  You see, many converts could not handle it to know that they have abandoned God because of unforgiveness for what Christians…also known as humans who are not blemish free; have done in the past!   Shame on them…but would it be enough for me to leave God?   NO WAY!!!!

While we’re many of us “work at:  practicing love ;  many of them…study us, engage in an activity called  “phising” (not certain of the  spelling) ; a way to recruit us by pointing out *their version of Christian flaws.  and  hope to overthrow Christianity.   That ain’t never gonna happen!

Hey nobody’s perfect …that’s why we need God.

Now let me compliment the Muslims;  I like the discipline, I like the healthy lifestyles that I have observed, I like the commitment to prayer.  Is it enough to convert me?  NO WAY!  My “other list” is far too long.

Somebody is being deceived and so my prayer is for full revelation to be made known.

It is such a STRONG LIE by the enemy; that people get furious when anyone says it.  Most radical Christians know that our God Jehovah is not Allah.  It’s amazing to me that Muslims have been fed this lie.  Now, I will not talk about Allah…but I will say that Jehovah wrote the bible.  He inspired holy men of God to write it.  The Muslims often try to discount the bible by saying “King James” wrote it …which is hilarious because any  fifth grader can tell you that King James did something remarkable.  He hired the most well known scholars of his time to research the bible in Greek and Hebrew to put in the most accurate translations since there were more than one translation of the bible at that time and men had not translated it correctly because they would not translate all of it from Hebrew and Greek because of the extensive work involved.

A Muslim woman recently told me that Jesus, Father God and the Holy Spirit cannot all be God.  She obviously had been taught this and obviously had never read the bible herself.

She told me:  “How can you get 3 into 1?”  I laughed because 3 can go into 1…in math and of course…in the bible which is real life for me.

I challenge any Muslim to research the bible for yourself.

When Jesus got up on the cross; he shed his blood for the remission of our sins.   That blood has so much power even today.  Jesus lives and the Blood lives;  it heals those who believe  in it,  delivers,  it protects , it brings peace and as the Blood delivers…our faith increases.

Born again Christians realize that there is a demonic realm and that faith in the Blood of Jesus protects us from it.   Spirit filled believers speak in the heavenly languages also known as tongues.  Theses languages are not gibberish an for some the languages change to bring forth unbelievers.

When we respect and honor the Blood…God honors us.  I heard that from Dr. Creflo Dollar…I totally agree.

We are spirit filled believers filled with the spirit of God.  The bible says God is a Spirit.  It says that we must worship God in spirit and in truth.

NOW HEAR THIS:

If Muslims were able to do this; it would be the same God.

The bible has been written in a mystery; and no Muslim unless converted in their hearts will ever understand it because God will not reveal it to them,  Once He does…they will no longer be a Muslim.

To become born again…one must accept Jesus as Lord and Master of their life…it can’t be done if you believe the lie that he was merely a prophet.

___________________________________________________________________________________

It’s not important for  this writer to single out other faiths; because they are less in conflict with Christianity; and I also believe that salvation for Muslims is critical; I along with many others will not tolerate it in the spirit…and so I pray .

P.S. If you are a Muslim reading this…and you got this far…search for the truth…I did!   I found it!
